The Playa Queen is an artistic interpretation of an 1850‰Ûªs riverboat traveling on the Sacramento River between Sacramento and San Francisco, during the California Gold Rush era. Passengers boarding this side-wheeled riverboat steamer will find shade in her saloon, complete with bar, and period dÌ©cor. On the top deck, the pilothouse provides an interactive Captain‰Ûªs wheel and controls to sound her whistle. At night, the Playa Queen comes alive with lights delineating her silhouette, chasing lights on the paddle wheels, and flame effects from the twin smoke stacks.
