Britt’s Story: “Burning man is so many things to me. It is like no other place in the world. One of the most uninhabitable environments I know of, yet the most beautiful place on earth. There is nothing like biking across playa at sunset. All the joy you see and hear all around you. All the smiling people being unapologetically themselves. It’s enough to make your heart feel like it could burst with love. That is the part everyone always hears about. But part of what makes the experience so beautiful and amazing is the fact that you have to work for it. Burning man is hard. The challenges come in all shapes and sizes from injuries to car problems, and beyond. That’s one of the more unspoken truths of Burning Man, but any seasoned burner knows the truth of it. The highs are the highest and the lows can be the lowest, because without the dark there can be no light. Burning man is beautiful because it is hard. “
