Axis Mundi: Resonant Spire by Sergei Konchekov from New York NY Axis Mundi: Resonant Spire rises from the desert as a new form of hybrid architecture, neither monument nor machine, but a living signal. Constructed from ascending conical volumes encircled by programmable rings of light, the structure releases phased waves that travel upward like a visible breath. Illumination intensifies, fades, and collapses into silence, transforming the tower into a temporal instrument rather than a static object. Matter and algorithm intertwine; structure becomes frequency; architecture becomes event. In the vast emptiness of the playa, the spire stands as a meditation on resonance, a threshold where technology turns ritual and light becomes the language of presence.
