Crimson Rose and Will Roger’s art car Persephone parked on the Esplanade after a night on heavy rainfall at Burning Man 2023. Created by the Iron Monkeys art collective as part of its 2017 honorarium project “Flight of Illumination,” the dragonfly is the goddess of the underworld. In her attempt to manifest in this reality, she hitches a ride with the scarab beetle Khepri.
