Very Bad Portraits

At Burning Man everyone seems to bring something to the table as a communal gift or form of expression. Before taking people’s portraits as gifts or working for the documentation team, on my second burn I brought my old skool airbrush kit with portable compressed air cans and airbrushed BM tattoos and illustrations on people at center camp. I’ve seen all sorts of ideas and offerings from ass brandings to workshops on how to crack a whip. Some people assume a gift is a necklace or similar object, but services are a fantastic way to get involved. Even if you aren’t that good at it, it’s your chance to give it a go or at least have some fun. When receiving a gifted service, people haven’t parted with their money so it becomes a relaxed, enjoyable experience full of laughs with no expectations. Gifting and decomodification at play. This guys portrait was so bad, it was good. What awesome service gifting have you seen at BM?
